General principles of mechanics and vectors. Force vectors. Equilibrium of a particle: 2 and 3 dimensional problems. Force system resultants. Equilibrium of rigid bodies: 2 and 3 dimensional problems. Analysis of trusses and frames: Internal forces. Shear and moment diagrams. Friction. Center of gravity and moments of inertia. Virtual work principle.
